What we receive from Google

When you sign in with Google, SpilNote receives only your name, email address, and profile photo. We never see your password and have no access to your emails, Drive, or any other Google data — except your calendar, if you connect it yourself (below).

Google Calendar (only if you connected it)

If you click “Connect Google” in Calendar → “Google & iCal”, SpilNote receives, with your permission:

• events of the Google calendars you selected (title, time, place, description, guests, call link) — to show them in your SpilNote calendar;
• the list of your Google calendars — so you can choose which ones to show;
• permission to create, change and delete events — only those you change in SpilNote yourself, and your SpilNote events if “My SpilNote events — to Google” is on.

Only you see your Google events — your workspace colleagues don’t. If you connected your AI assistant to SpilNote (“AI connections”), it can read your calendar, including Google events, when you ask it to. We store the access key encrypted. “Disconnect” removes Google events from SpilNote and revokes access; you can also revoke access in your Google Account settings.

SpilNote’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We don’t use Google data for advertising, don’t sell it and don’t use it to train artificial intelligence models.

What we store

Your profile (name, email, photo, and job title and status if you fill them in), pages, databases, comments, chat messages, and files you add. All of this is stored on our server and is used solely to run the service.

Who can see your data

Your content is visible to you and to the people you yourself invite to a workspace, page, or chat. A page you publish via a link can be opened by anyone who has that link. We do not sell data, show ads, or share data with third parties, except where required by law.

Cookies

We use a single cookie to keep you signed in after you log in. No advertising or analytics cookies. Page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.

We count visits to the website’s pages (the home page, the login page, feature pages, and this page) ourselves, without cookies or third-party services: which page was opened, how long it was viewed, how far it was scrolled, and what was clicked. We do not store your IP address or browser — only an anonymized marker valid for one day, so we don’t count the same person twice. This data is kept for six months.

Backups

Every night we make a backup of the database so your data isn’t lost in case of a failure. Backups are stored on the same server.

Deleting your data

You can delete your pages and files at any time within the service. To delete your account entirely, email us — we will delete it along with all its content within 30 days. You can also revoke SpilNote’s access in your Google account settings.
